With September coming around and bringing along some very autumnal days, I am as ready as ever to welcome this new season. Fall is definitely my favourite time of the year and having lived through one of the worst summers ever I can’t wait to dive into the autumnal spirit and do the most of the next three months.
As usual when a new season is starting, I always promise myself I’ll enjoy it to the fullest. However, life often gets in the way, and I often realise too late that I haven’t been able to accomplish even just a fraction of what I was planning, and it makes me feel bad, as if I wasted a lot of precious time.
This year, I have decided to write down a bucket list for autumn and document on here the things I manage to tick off of it, hopefully staying motivated to actually live my favourite season as best as I can. This will also give me a bunch of ideas for when I feel stressed, as the next few months are probably going to be terrifying as the start of my master’s degree and my first exams get closer.
Some of the things I have included in my bucket list are very simple, like baking a cake, while some are a bit more out of my comfort zone. Either way, I hope I will manage to get everything done.
So here it is, my bucket list for autumn 2018 😊
- Bake a pumpkin pie
- Make homemade hot chocolate
- Go to a local fair and/or to an artists’ market
- Bake a chocolate & pear cake
- Visit the botanical gardens in Padova
- Handmade autumnal/wintery decorations
- Bake chocolate chip cupcakes
- Buy Halloween pumpkins
- Make homemade pizza
- Go for a hike in the woods
- Go out to photograph the trees once they’re all colourful
- Visit three new places & three new cafes
I will give myself until the end of November to complete all of these. I really hope that, despite everything, I will be able to enjoy this season and get to the end of it feeling I have lived it as well as I possibly could.
What do you wish to do this upcoming fall? Let me know in the comments!
